Fun in the sun...

Last Week we had Cricket Manawatu come in a show us some awesome cricket skills.  Each student got a turn to bat and field.  Thank you for the goodie bags too!

We have been working on Relating To Others during our morning sessions.

  We co-operated to get the rocket ship painted.It was fun helping each other and we got our job done much more quickly.

We made straw rockets. We had to think very hard about how to improve our designs so that our rockets would fly further. They went a really long way and some shot high up into the sky.

We went to Savage Crescent Park with Mrs Bowles, Mrs Spall, Room 16 and Mr Punler came too. We worked together to make a mountain of leaves and then had great fun throwing the leaves at each other. What a great day!!

Hula Hoop Creative Dance

We explored a variety of movements both frozen and with movement using a prop (hula hoop)

In the beginning we made frozen shapes using our bodies in a variety of different ways and levels.  Then we experimented with movement in and around our hula hoop, creating different ways to travel through, around or over it. Finally we combined both frozen images and movement together to create a partner dance.

Look at all the fun we had working together and creating our dances.

Today in PMP, we practised controlling the bean bag with one hand and also tried to knock down the giant skittles using our bowling skills. We are improving every week!

We used our "working together" skills to put up our tent today. Everyone helped and it went up really quickly.
